Option 1: Explain what you think are some of the key differences between cyber security, cyber awareness and cyber safety. To what extent are you teaching these in the classroom or to what extend do you think they should be taught and why?
cyber security = is the protection of your computer systems and networks from disclosing information to the public/bugs/spams/scams, theft of, or damage to the hardware, software, or electronic data.
cyber awareness = being aware of the dangers when browsing the web, checking emails and interacting online are all components (particularly dating sites, facebook, instagram, snapchat, etc.).
cyber safety = is the safe and responsible use of information and communication technologies, such as the internet, social media, online games, smart phones, tablets and other connected devices. Cyber safety education provides students with the knowledge and skills they need to stay safe in online environments.
CYBER SAFETY AND AWARENESS – VIDEO 1:
Teaches students the responsible use of technology (e.g mobile) and addresses common issues such as cyberbullying, fake news/false advertisement and online privacy
CYBER AWARENESS AND SAFETY – VIDEO 2:
Educates students through real world contexts and examples of being aware of internet safety and what steps to take to ensure their time on digital technologies is positive
