An activity/resource that I would include which introduces students to private and public information is a lesson in the unit Hector’s World sourced from the eSafety Commissioner. This lesson is targeted towards a middle years primary group where students complete a sheet about their personal information. The sheet remains anonymous, as students receive each others sheets, they use the persons information provided to try an identify students in their class. This lesson and discussion about how certain types of personal information can be harmful online, and makes it easier for people to be identified. It is also followed up by a short cartoon video of hector and his friends about personal and private information.
