Cyber security is the protection of computers, networks, data and programs through computer science programs and technologies. Cyber safety is understanding the risks and dangers associated with technology is acting appropriately online, ensuring we are protecting our personal or private information. Cyber awareness is understanding and being mindful of how you behave and interact while using technology being aware of the risks and dangers associated to ensure you are being responsible and safe. It is very important for schools to teach the importance of cyber safety and cyber awareness, as cyber security, cyber safety, and cyber awareness is everyone’s responsibility. As technology is a huge part of education and how students learn they need to know how to use technology appropriately and responsibly in order to be safe online, to protect their own and other peoples personal or private information.
