
Task 3 (Option 3)
Option 3: Create or share a resource to support a classroom or professional development learning activity about binary OR digital data. This could be a worksheet, a poster, a book, a game or any other idea!
As part of your introductory to binary students could make ‘binary bracelets’. This could be used as a team building activity to start the year off where students create binary secret message phrases or potentially tie it into a health lesson where students select an adjective that describes one of their character attributes (e.g. creative, kind, persistent).
Materials
- Coloured beads/two different style of beads
- Elastic thread
Using the binary system, students create words out of their beads. They can reflect on this, as well as the data collected by creating a worksheet such as that used in this example:
