Task 6: Option 2

Task 6: Option 2

With younger students there are so many activities that we can use to help us explore the concept of ordering a sequence of instructions.

  1. After reading a story have students cut out the main events from a book and then stick them in the order that they happened.
  2. Have 1 student give another student directions to get from one location to another. The student receiving the directions must remain quiet and follow all instructions given to them.
  3. Have students explain the process of familiar events in their day. For example, what is the process when you come into the classroom in the morning? What are the steps involved and what order do they go in.
