Task 5, option 1

This task would involve a brainstorm where we, as a class categorise what is safe information is to be shared online and what is not (sharing ‘what’ to be followed up by ‘sharing ‘where’).

This brainstorm allows the students to both express what they would perhaps share online, and open a discussion to how safe that is – and works as an opportunity to learn where the students are in terms of understanding online safety.

esafety.gov has great resources, including games and stories – but this conversation would be based on learning the students’ current understanding (from which to build), and would use these poster prompts: https://www.esafety.gov.au/educators/classroom-resources/posters-and-conversation-starters
