Option 4: Think of and share an online remote learning activity idea that involves students learning about identifying different technologies and their purposes (or hardware and software more specifically) from their own home. Include what the students will be doing in the activity and how you would like them to share their learning with you or the class.
I will bring to my online class a computer that the school IT person has pulled apart. From here we will dissect the parts of the computer and at random I will ask students whether an item is either hardware or software. This way students can visually comprehend what the inside of a computer looks like and which roles these computer parts have in decisions happening at a click of a button. Following this exercise or at the beginning of the next class we will follow up with a kahoot quiz to test and recap the students knowledge on each of the computer components.
