TASK 2 – OPTION 4
Option 4
If students live remotely there are several different data collection activities teachers could get students to do from home that would benefit their mathematics skills.
For foundation – year 1 students, they could collect different objects at home such as lego and put them in smallest to largest groups. They could represent this as a tally.
Older students could collect utensils around the house such as plates, cups, forks, knifes ect and represent this data in a ven diagram or graph using excel (this is a curriculum requirement in year 3-4).
Additionally, older primary students such as 5-6s could look at different food groups and their calories/KJs ect and represent this on a graph on excel or in their book.
