Visual Programing

Option 1: Design a classroom activity that uses an existing Scratch game and that focuses either on (a) understanding the Scratch program or (b) modifying the Scratch program

To begin with, this task allows the students to have some free time on the website to explore and become familiar with some of the settings. This is important as it provides the students with the opportunity to be independent with their learning and develop their intrinsic motivation through learning and experimenting.

After the students have become familiar with the program get them to build creations based off of their work in other learning areas. AN example of this is creating a visual app or image which links to their story writing in English. This enables them to develop their visual programming skills while also understanding the role digital technologies plays in the real world and how it connects to different learning areas.
