Option 2: Learn to code using hot wheels
This is an activity that allows junior primary students to practice unplugged coding.
The teacher will lay out grids on the floor using, painters tape or chalk. Cut out some red squares and place them in various squares to act as ‘hot lava’
Now the challenge is for students to get from the start to the finish (allocated on the grid) without running into any ‘hot lava’ or obstacles. Students needs to give instructions to their hot wheels car in ‘code talk’.
In this task they will learn debugging, algorithms and sequence.
