Task 7: Option 1

Students would be introduced to Scratch first through modelling where the teacher would demonstrate how to create a story and bring characters to life through the coding cards. The teacher and class would create a story together. When this is done, students would be sent to create their own story and characters at the computers using the same tools and functions the teacher demonstrated through their modelling.

Extension activity would include adding features like sound and more complex functions to the story.
