Task 2: Patterns & Play

Option 4:

I teach Kindergarten and one great way of having kids represent data is by creating a monster out of craft materials. This can also be done online using Seesaw tools or Google Drawing. Essentially, they are given a list for example:

  • 1 eye for each person that lives in your house
  • 1 tooth for every girl that lives in your house
  • 1 leg for every boy that lives in your house

Each monster represents data collected from their household and can be easily compared to other students in the class.

This is an incredibly fun way for exploring data!
