Article: Digital Technology and COVID19
This article interest me as it captures the COVID19 pandemic and how we have had to switch to technology for university and schools to be able to communicate with each other and keep up with their school work. Within this article, it is interesting to see that within the COVID19 outbreak, how much digital technology is relied on. Digital technology can enhance public-health education and communication. In Singapore, the government has partnered with WhatsApp (owned by Facebook) to allow the public to receive accurate information about COVID-19 and government initiatives. dditionally, some facial-recognition companies (e.g., SenseTime and Sunell) have adopted the thermal imaging–enabled facial recognition to identify people with an elevated temperature at various screening points in China.
