Creating strong passwords is an important skill to teach primary school students as its an easy way to protect our important information.
There are some great worksheets on ‘teacherspayteachers’ in regard to teaching students on how create strong passwords as shown below.
First students need to be told the difference between an easy password and a hard password and what the characteristics of each are. Worksheet 1 ‘Password Qualities Sort’ has a table divided into 2 columns titled Do & Don’t. Students are also given another sheet with a range of different passwords to cut and paste into the table.
Students then move onto worksheet 2 where they create their own password. They start with a weak password and develop their password into a stronger one.
