Activity for Reception students – after reading “Tiddalik the Frog” the students will be given some sequencing cards based on the story. They will be encouraged to put them in the correct order and “read” their sequences back to the small group. The adult will lead the discussion on whether they are in the correct sequence or not. Discussions about putting the sequence in the incorrect order and how that would affect the story and actions of the characters etc
Another activity could be based on the students using puppets of the characters from Tiddalik and re-enacting the story in the correct sequence and not in the correct sequence and having a discussion on the impact of this.
