- Binary Bracelets For years 5-8
This activity enables students to creating bracelets as a binary representation of the first letter of their name. Students can explore how data can be represented and stored in more than one way through this activity. The lesson plan resource provides a strategic structure to encourage children to develop their conceptual knowledge of binary data
2.USING BINARY TO CREATE ON/OFF PICTURES for Years 5 & 6
In this activity, students develop an understanding of how computers store and send digital images and they are able to represent images in a digital format. An alternative lesson variation would be to encourage students to code and decode images.
3. The Cisco Binary Game for Years 5-8
The CISCO binary-based game is extremely useful to practice calculating numbers with the binary system.
