TASK 3: OPTION 2


The activity idea I have planned, is for year 4/5 students, and it involves them creating their own QR codes.

This is largely a literacy based activity, and students will  use an online app to write a short story (no more than 3 paragraphs) about a given theme (i.e. mythical creatures), and draw an image on this app, to accompany this story.

They will then generate a QR code for this story, and print this out to bring into class.

Once this has been done, students can display their QR codes around the classroom, and students can have a gallery walk, scanning different QR codes to read different stories.

This is a good way for students to learn how to encode and decode data, and learn how to integrate digital technologies into literacy!
