Task 3: Option 2


For Data Representation, I have chosen for students to work in pairs or small groups to encode and decode a set of instructions for students to use to navigate through an obstacle course/treasure hunt to get to their final destination. Students will start by decoding the information given to them by you (teacher) and use this information to work collaboratively to get to the final destination. For the younger children (Kindy & Pre-Primary), this could just be following arrows, whereas for the older students (Yr1 & Yr2), the students can follow simple instructions. Once familiar and confident with decoding the information, the students are given the opportunity to encode their own obstacle course/treasure hunt for their peers to decode.
