GE Creates 3D-printed Jet Engine

In early 2020 (a time where flights and travel was generally off the table), General Electric (GE) created its first ever fully functioning 3D-printed jet engine. This engine is small enough to fit in a backpack and is predicted to drastically reduce costs for the company in regards to both production and storage. GE has also recently invested large amounts of funds into 3D printing companies to help expand manufacturing, as well as provide various industries with opportunities for technological growth and advancement.
