Following a sequence to build a sandcastle
Option 2: Design an activity that explores sequences of instructions.
A simple and engaging sequencing activity for kindergarten or pre-primary would be to have the students order a set of sequencing cards that detail the process of building a sandcastle. In pairs, students would order the cards into a proposed sequence. They would then test their prediction by following the instructions detailed in their sequence and attempt to build a sandcastle in the sandpit. Based on their findings students would alter their sequence accordingly.
