Describe a classroom activity that incorporates a visual programming environment.
The class will be looking at narratives and making their own animated story on Scratch. The teacher would have read several stories to the class, discussed with the students their observations of the common features of the stories, and then explicitly teach about narratives. Students will then write their own narratives, using a storyboard template to help them plan and write out their stories. They will then use the Scratch program to make an animated version of their story.
