Task 3 – Option 1
Sound
Link to Science – Using Scratch Jr (for younger students) make a story that shows how sound waves travel to our ears (3 pages – 1st sets the ‘scene’ with the noise; 2nd shows sound waves travelling, 3rd shows it reaching ears.) See example below.
Same concept maybe could be used for older students but using analogue/digital conversion.

EDIT: This was done with R-3s (naturally differing abilities). Some had used Scratch Jr before, others hadn’t. We did some work together first to introduce Scratch Jr and this was the final assessment task for both Science and Digital Technologies.
