Task 7 – Option 1


Above I have linked a Scratch program which involves the participant, using the arrow keys, to navigate a simple maze to an end goal.

Once students understand how the program works, I’d give them a chance to have a go at modifying and testing the program. For example, students could change the sprites in use, the music to play, the layout of the maze and even add new levels.

This concept of a lesson has high potential for differentiation as the task is very open ended, providing opportunity for students with sound understanding of programs to extend themselves but also is simple enough for struggling students.
