Task 6 – Option 3


Above, I’ve provided a link to a very simple flowchart I constructed that shows the series of steps involved in making peanut butter toast. The flowchart makes it visually clear that an algorithm follows a sequence of steps to solve a problem.

This diagram could be used in my classroom as an example of how simple an algorithm can be and to help students understand that computers can follow similar sets of instructions to achieve solutions. I might have students have a go at creating their own flow charts on an algorithm about an everyday activity of their choosing.
