An activity that I can do with younger year levels that explores sequences of instructions is making a recipe. This could be as easy as to how to make a sandwich. This is a good activity to start out with because it provides students with the opportunity to describe a sequence in which they can describe to another individual. Firstly, the students will write out their own sequences. Then, with a partner, they will read out their steps, in the hopes that they end up with a sandwich or the product in which they were describing.
