Task 6: Algorithms & Programming


Option 2: For primary years an activity that students could explore incorporating a sequence of instructions; could be a treasure hunt whereby students are given a map and cryptic problem-solving clues which they have to solve to determine each new location. This could further lead to a task whereby students generate their own sequential clues to different locations.

Questions could be asked such as:

“What elements of the clues helped you solve them”

“What thought processes did you go through”

“Why did you go to… location first”
