Exploring sequences of instructions for book selection


Students could design a sequence of instructions for selecting a book for silent reading.

Variables they could consider could be interests, genre, favorite authors, reading difficulty, reading ability, and challenge that is wanted.

For example one set of instructions they could use could be: Open at a random page. Read page. If you cannot read more than five words on that page, then do not select that book.
