Task 6: Option 2


For the younger years, I would like to explore sequencing and decomposition. We would take something such as our morning routine or a picture book and order everything and allow students to place them in different orders to see if they make sense. Students may put brushing teeth before breakfast, and at the end of the activity, we can discuss why we need to put things in a sequenced or logical order. We can also explore whether or not students can mix up these orders to see if they make sense, and the different morning routine orders different students have, to show that the same things can be represented in different ways and still make sense.
