Task 5: Australian Bureau of Statistics

Option 2: Raw data to meaningful information.

The Australian Bureau of Statistics is an agency of the Australian government and uses data such as that collected from censuses to generate statistics information. This information is then used to inform important decisions both within government but as the information is open source can also be used to inform other businesses.

The website allows users to download raw data and view statistics.

The agency uses social media to share relevant content

For example on the national day of education they will share infographics regarding education statistical information.

These statistics can be particularly interesting for Upper Primary student especially if they are relatable and relevant.

An infographic has been included with some of the latest statistics relating to COVID-19
