Option 3: Exploring past and present technologies: Share a lesson idea that involves exploring past and present technologies. You might prepare a resource, a lesson plan or some online content that accompanies your lesson.
A Lesson Plan:
To explore past and present technologies I would print out or (if fortunate seek out and collect) old and new computers. I would display them in an incorrect order of production and ask students to place them in what they believe is the correct order. I would then place them in the correct order. I would present a venn-diagram on the smartborad (resource will be attached Task 4) and have a brainstorm with students comparing the differences and similarities of the oldest and newest model of computer.
If time allows I would also create an assessed art project centered around this idea of technology. I would present them with the question “In 5 years what will the next computer look like”, I would bring in recycled resources and invite students to do the same to construct their on interpretation of what the next computer will look like. Then students would present them to the class.
