Task 4: comparing past technology and creating a timeline: computers (i.e. desktops and laptops.)
For this task students are first asked to place the given photos with little information to spark thought in order from what they think is oldest to most recent model of a computer.
Students will be encouraged to compare each decade’s computer by comparing each photo, appearance, features such as screen, mouse, box and how it works.
After the student groups are finished with the discussion the class will come together and discuss their findings and why they placed each photo where they did.
from here students will understand the change of features in computers and understand more about how they function and their purpose.
Students will then create a timeline poster with the photos and write a sentence or two about each decade’s device.
