This example was found on Pinterest and shows lego colours being used as data and graphed on a photocopied sheet. Teachers could give students a mixed tub of lego each from which they would sort the colours of lego and represent their data on their graph. Questions could also be provided such as ‘Which colour do you have the most/least of?’. Additionally, the teacher could demonstrate alternative ways of recording and demonstrating the data, such as a coloured pie chart with the percentages of each colour calculated and included. The lego could be used for multiple lessons as the students investigate alternative ways of recording their data.
