Technology in The Arts: Electronic Music Production


I am a rookie musician who has, for a long time, been fascinated by the evolving role that soft-wear and hard-wear is playing in the field of music production.

Genre bending, blending and inventing has gone to a whole new level in recent years as soft wear such as programs like Ableton Live or Logic Pro or even Garage Band have allowed us to start ‘digitising’ almost any organic sound in the world or ‘synthesising’ new sounds from programming and coding.

I am keen to keep developing my skills in electronic music production and have been learning how to use Ableton Live to mix my organic vocals with electronically synthesised sounds to make music.
