One data source I came across for use with students in the classroom is the Wildfinder Database on the WWF website.
The Wildfinder database allows students to visual the global distribution of wildlife species. Students could use this database to search for what animal species can be found in their local environment and more widely in their country or other countries around the world. This database could be used across all age groups and in a range of curriculum areas, such as science, HASS and mathematics.
