Data, Patterns and Play
Option 2: Students can do this within the classroom, or at home so it works both online (COVID19) and or facetoface.
Students are required to make use of the materials at their home or school. This could include pegs, leaves, beans, pencils, sticks and even cooking equipment. They are required to group these by either size, colour or shape. An additional activity, which again can be completed online or facetoface is asking students to collect data from their classmates about what pets they have at home OR their favourite animal. The students would make a table, collect the data, analyse it and create an appropriate graph that clearly demonstrates this information. A graph has been attached so you can view that data representation
