An activity that could be used in the Foundation years is sequence a cooking activity (E.G. making lamingtons or a sandwich). A set of pictures could be taken of each step of the cooking process. Provide students with the photos and they are required to sequence them in order of how to make the item (students to do this independently and individually). The teacher can then pick a set of pictures that have not been sequenced correctly. The teacher can follow this sequence to explain/demonstrate the importance of sequencing items correctly.
