Task 3 – Option 1

This is an idea for an introduction to pixels and the way data is stored in image files. The class will receive grid paper. their task will be to draw an object (lets say a dog). The twist is that they have to draw it using the squares (or pixels) on their grid paper by colouring squares with only one colour each. The next twist, there are three types of grid paper of descending dimensions. Therefore some of the class will draw high definition images and some will draw very low definition images. These can be compared to each other to determine which drawings are “better” or “higher quality” and compared to the pixels on digital photographs
