Option 2: Design an activity that explores sequences of instructions. In the early years, this could be an activity that encourages children to develop skills in putting things into a logical sequence. In the older years this could be more complex and involve students playing a game or doing an activity.
In Year 2 this year we have been looking at lifecycles of both plants and animals. We used a great sequencing activity using Beebots where the students had to program the beebot to drive over an illustrated map in the correct order to create the life cyle of the butterfly and the plant in the correct sequence. It was a real success.
