Option 2: Describe a classroom activity that incorporates a visual programming environment.
Use Blockly to code dash and dot to be a security system for the classroom or your bedroom
Code dash to move around the room and monitor sounds, movements and objects in its path.
Use dot as a door monitor that monitors movement and sounds.
Have the robots make alarm sounds and/or light up if it is activated and hears sounds or senses movement.
If /then/ else blocks would need to be used for moving around the room so that when dash hits a wall or door or piece of furniture, it is instructed to change direction otherwise continue moving.
Another idea would be to use dash as a communication tool.
Have students in groups where they have to send messages to the other groups around the room using dash.
Voice recordings can be uploaded to dash robots to say commands or relay messages.
