Task 2 Patterns and Play

I think this activity could be used in the classroom as a platform to help teach numerous mathematics concepts.

Firstly, data collection and representation – students can be shown how to use tally marks to record their results. They could then represent this data as graphs, charts or even human graphs.

Secondly, probability could be incorporated into this lesson ie. what is the probability of rolling a 5?

Thirdly, you could teach the students about fractions ie. what fraction of the dice is even numbers?
