Year 6 students were asked to interview their classmates asking the question ‘What is your nationality?’

They were then required to familiarise themselves with the website to investigate some ways they could display their data in an effective manner. Each student was asked to choose 2 different ways to display this with an emphasis made on the fact it should be simple and easy for the viewer to comprehend.

At the conclusion of the task, students had to compare both representations of data they had chosen and communicate which example they thought was the most effective and why.

I thought this was a great way to get the children to collect, display and then reflect on the data they had presented to their classmates. Whilst all children did ultimately  collect the same data it was interesting to see the ways in which they displayed it through the infogram website.
