Digital Technologies in Farming

The CSIRO are  investigating Precision Agriculture  as a tool to help match land use to land use capability for farmers who produces crops. Precision Agriculture addresses sustainability issues and optimises profitability in farming while conserving biodiversity and natural resources  in less productive parts. They are applying processes already used in Viticulture to other areas of farming through Digital Technologies. This rise in the application of Digital Technology  is not a new process but it is becoming more widespread and is particularly timely considering the drought we are now facing.
