Jerrod Davison▸ Task 7: Visual Programming

My year 5/6 students all built robotic vacuum cleaners using Lego Mindstorms which had trailing markers writing on large sheets of paper. The goal of the activity was to develop an algorithm that covered the whole (paper) room with a marker. An extension was to have an object dropped into the area unexpectedly which the program had to deal with. This enhanced their understanding of sensors using loops to look for input from the sensors and change the action of the robot. If/Else
