Ms Kempton▸ Task 7: Visual Programming

Option 2 Around Australia (Tynker and mini Parrot Drones)
As part of a geography unit students work in teams to undertake a project looking at various parts of Australia. As part of their presentation of information they use a mini Parrot drone to fly to each location.

To undertake this part of the task, they learn to command the drone using Tynker

There are options In Tynker to use built in activities to learn the basics of flying and to support students as they work through their algorithms, they have designed to complete the challenge. There are also teaching opportunities for safety and managing risk. Student engagement levels are extremely high in completing the project.

The activity can be adapted to include other robots as well. #cserTask7
