Tony Pavey▸ Task 7: Visual Programming
I have used a Scratch project lesson with year 7's with great success. These projects the student has to correct and add code to make the finished product work. They download the incomplete file, upload on to Scratch online and work through the steps on the sheet they are given. The sheet does show the steps to complete the file and explains why statements are added, but students will always copy the code incorrectly and have to go back and step through to find an error. This happens more so when there are multiple characters and they have to place code on each.
