Sharon Dutton▸ Task 2: Data- Patterns & Play
At the start of the year when getting to know the children in your class is important it is a great time to have a daily question board (ie: How many siblings do you have?, Number of pets in your home…etc) and visual graph display on a wall. The children place their photos(photocopied and velcro dotted) on the correct place on a visual wall graph as they arrive at school or during a specified lesson. The collected data can be then discussed, interpreted and represented in different ways (e.g. tallies, tables, different graphs- maybe digital representations). This exercise can also give children a sense of understanding differences and the importance of gathering information to understand and care for each other better. #cserTask2
