Peita Bates▸ Task 3: Data- Representation
Quite a basic one from me this time as there seems to be a lot of excellent resources already shared.
I use the date as a way of showing differed encoding/decoding. As we progress through the term students are given a decoding sheet and I write the date on the board in different formats (when they get good, I might even combine different ones).
Sometimes it is binary, other times braille, sign language etc.
Unfortunately, I haven't saved my worksheet off my school computer for the holidays but I just sourced images online and created a double sided A4 sheet that they could refer to. Once we have done focussed work on binary for example, they aren't allowed to use the sheet as a reference.
