I first introduced QR codes at a school where we had an Art Show. Each student created a video explaining how they made their artwork, the materials used and what it meant to them. As parents entered the Art Show Exhibition they were able to scan each QR code attached to each artwork to learn more about the artist and their intention and method. We had lots of great feedback on how it made the art show more interactive.
This term my Stage 1 classes will be innovating on the traditional chocolate crackle recipe. They have to name their product, create a logo and produce an infomercial about their product. Students will then visit each of the stalls and view the infomercials using the QR code before then voting for their favourite three innovations. We will then use the data collected to determine the most popular innovation on the traditional chocolate crackle recipe.
We use https://www.qrcode-monkey.com/ so that students can embed their logo into their QR code.
