As part of a focused oral literacy program we run, one lesson focuses on things that have changed. The children were fascinated by these. The examples were phones, washing machines, cars, music devices (record players had they amazed) irons and mowers. The most interesting discussion came around mowers and how they have changed and why. Pictures of hand pushed ones, electric and then engine driven. Children discussed why things changed and what future ideas may be. There are so many devices not yet invented. Ask the children to choose an item in the classroom and explain how it could develop or change. cser#Task4
