Collecting and representing data can be done in a variety of ways in the early years. In Prep start with
– number of people in the family – drawing each person then each student adds a cross to the number on the bar graph.
– favourite colour
– what pet do you have or would you like
Moving to using a interactive learning object that children are able to complete each and print off their bar graph at the end. The pictures show the three stages of data collection. This way children are building on their ability to accurately collect, represent and interpret data.#cserTask2
